Mongoose Traveller 2e is a D6 system that starts with a fresh faced 18 year old and through a series of four year increments (known as terms) you build a character who could have worked one job their entire working life, had a series of jobs or was in prison. It's up to the dice. You decide as the player when you want to stop and become a traveller.
