In the Weirwood, humankind’s dominance has ended. Nixies dance again over cold, snickering streams, old oaks sing to each other once more as Satyrs dance along, and the Hobgoblin drums beat to the rhythm of war.

Since the Black Wyrm razed half of Xandraton and ate as many townsfolk, no-one leaves the walls. The fairies have returned, and Lord of Xandraton has sent his armies far away. Bigger problems, apparently. 

Pretty rotten luck you just turned up then, eh?

The Game
This campaign uses Dungeon Crawl Classics, a TTRPG designed to get to the good bits first - victorious highs, fatal lows, ancient magic, eldritch gods and archdemon deals - and everything else never. Then you hit 1st level.

Character creation is session 1: play a group of level 0 peasants and their harrowing awakening to a life of adventure and 1st level. Then we dive into the adventure of the Black Wyrm, an open-world game exploring a fairy-haunted woods for treasure and survival.

This adventure is a hack of Chance Dudinack's 'Black Wyrm of Brandonsford' and Gavin Norman's 'Dolmenwood'
