Call of Cthulhu: Eternal Lies
'We were like detectives, armed with our secret knowledge in… the occult. It was an exciting time.'
A decade ago, a team of occult investigators battled to stop the summoning of an ancient and evil monster. They failed. Now the world is yours to save… or lose. Eternal Lies is a globe spanning campaign of dramatic adventures and cosmic dread for the Call of Cthulhu 7th Edition.
Eternal Lies is set in 1934 the players will take the part of a group of investigators piecing together the story of an investigation that went wrong over a decade ago. As they plunge deeper into the dark mystery they will journey across global locales both thrilling and dangerous. The stakes are very high in an investigation that threatens to change or end the lives of both enemies and beloved friends.
This is a campaign full of characters with dubious motives to question, clues and hand-outs to pore over, dangerous adversaries to deal with and of course your diminishing sanity to protect.
Eternal Lies was originally written for the Trail of Cthulhu system but I will be adapting it to my preferred Call of Cthulhu 7th edition rule set. If you've never played Call of Cthulhu before but are intrigued by the idea of roleplaying in Lovecraft's world then this will be the perfect place to start.
The campaign is likely to last at least two quarters and will contain some adult themes.
